At Coastal Compass, private furnished offices start at $1,298/month all-in. That single rate includes furniture, WiFi, your business mailing address, 10 conference-room hours a month, cleaning, and 24/7 access — there are no setup fees or retainers.

Ask how big it is. The $800 office is usually about 70 square feet, which is the size of a standard walk-in closet (7 by 10 feet). Our suites are 137 square feet, bigger than a standard bedroom, so the honest comparison is per square foot: that office is about $11.43 a foot, ours is $9.47. At their rate our suite would be $1,566 a month. The other difference is what gets added after the quote: most chains charge a setup fee, hold a retainer of two to two-and-a-half months' rent, and charge a "restoration" fee when you leave whether or not you damaged anything. Our rate is the rate.
